How to interpret link-in-bio link events
A guide to reading Myven link events alongside same-period page views, link clicks, and top links, then choosing the next review for each link.
Published

Link events on a link-in-bio page show operational performance, but they cannot tell you about purchases, payments, or what happened next on an external site.
Click records are still useful. In Myven Analytics, page views, link clicks, and top links from the same selected period can help a creator choose the next link to inspect without building a separate spreadsheet. This guide explains how to use those events.
Start by choosing a period in Analytics
Choose a window such as seven days, 30 days, or this month. Myven then presents page views, link clicks, and top links for that same selected period.
- Page views show how often the link-in-bio page was opened.
- Link clicks show how often links on the page were selected.
- Top links show the links visitors selected most often during the chosen period.
Use top links as the starting point for the next review
Top links are not a verdict about what succeeded. They show which paths visitors selected most often during the chosen period. Start by checking whether the link you expected appears near the top.
The expected link is not near the top
If the page has views and link clicks but an important link is not near the top, do not delete it immediately. Review one of these questions:
- Is the most important link easy to find in the current order?
- Does its label describe the destination instead of saying only
More? - Are several links competing for the same purpose?
W3C explains that people should be able to understand a link’s purpose from its text or context. The next action is not simply “increase clicks.” It is to check whether visitors can understand where the link goes.
Page views are high, but overall link clicks are low
The page was opened, but fewer visits continued to a link selection. Do not immediately blame one link. Review the page as a whole first:
- Can visitors find the most important link on the first screen?
- Can they understand the difference between destinations from the labels alone?
- Are too many similar links splitting attention?
The available decision is which of the page’s link count, labels, or order to review first. High page views do not mean that an outcome must occur at an external destination.
The expected link is near the top
If an important link appears near the top, keeping it is a reasonable next action. A frequently selected link is not proof that visitors completed the intended action at the destination. Check only that the destination is current and that the label still matches its content.
There is too little data
When both views and clicks are small, differences between links are hard to interpret. Widen the period and review again. If the counts remain small, choosing not to decide yet is better than forcing a conclusion.
Myven organizes the data; the creator makes one decision
The operating flow is short:
- Choose a period in Myven Analytics.
- Review page views, link clicks, and top links together.
- Choose one link to keep or inspect.
- If needed, change only one of its label, order, or destination.
- Review the same Analytics view in the next comparison period.
Myven handles the period alignment and top-link list. The creator decides what to keep or which single change to make. Changing several labels, destinations, and positions at once makes the next period harder to interpret.
A click is a starting point, not a conclusion
Myven’s link clicks and top links can help review visitor choices. Review the same-period metrics, then choose one next action for one link.
If you need a link structure that visitors can understand, you can organize important links in one free Myven link-in-bio page.
